Hot toddies are not exactly from Newfoundland originally, we have been drinking them in the UK for centuries. It doesn't have to be whisky Claire, brandy makes a good hot toddie too. As for making you sick Alex, one good hot toddie when you have the lurgy will make you feel lots better whether you drink or not.
I have heard of brandy but since I had a bad experience with it when I was young, I can never even smell the stuff never mind drink it. I could think of rum and since I am sick as a dog and can finally move my head off the pillow maybe I should try it
I'm a girl from around the bay. A runner, mother, daughter, sister, wife, an average run of the mill Newfoundlander with an overly active imagination.
I spend my days making mistakes and then trying to fix them before I get caught.
My life is random!
Mr D has been having hot toddies as we have both had the lurgie, I cant stand whiskey so declined....sticking to the paracetamol :)
