J is for...
Jogger's Nipple
This is more common in men than women. It is in effect a friction burn known as chafing caused by constant rubbing of a T-shirt on the nipple. It is often more likely in cold and wet weather. Jogger's nipple can be prevented with nip guard or band aids.
True story - last year I was looking through the finishing line pictures of the Tely10 trying to find myself and I saw more than 1 guy with blood running down the front of their shirts.
OUCH! I never would've thought of that. OMG. Thank god for bras right? Never thought I'd say that.
ReplyDeleteOuch indeed! Never heard of this and it sounds quite annoying. I laughed at your tale though. #AtoZChallenge
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I never thought about that but it makes sense because we wear bras but they don't
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds painful!
ReplyDeleteI heard of it buy I never seen it happen. I would think the type of bandaid matters too like the man in the photo above. Get one of those cheap band aids and with a hairy chest like that, taking it off would mean more bleeding.
