Out and a'boat in Newfoundland

2 days left to my vacation in Newfoundland, and then I'll get my act togeather I promise! Being around the Bay has its up and its downs. Ups - I'm HOME, downs - no WiFi for 99% of my vacation. I was driving today and got some reception and iPhone nicely told me today that I had 42 unanwsered texts. I won't tell you how may unanwsered emails I have.

This is the view from my parents front step.

The wind farm in my community (I still say it was constructed to blow the fog out to sea)

Typical foggy day laundry

The evening fog burning off the Cape

The other side of the Cape, without the fog!

Chamber Cove

There are many more shots to come, but since I only gots 2 days left, they will have to wait!

  1. I was over to Newfoundland in 2002 - by far one of my most favourite vacations. I can't wait to get back some year. Glad to hear you're having a good time!

  6. Hey, is "home" on the southern shore? I drove out to Fermeuse the other day to help decorate for someone's wedding and saw wind farms like that! I've never seen them anywhere else, so I wondered if I was nearby. :)

Lovely pictures...being from away, I still get all wobbly-kneed over the beauty of this island.

  8. Ahh. I'd never seen those things before, and I was kind of in awe of them! :)

Gorgeous pictures... I'd love to drive down that way sometime! I've been so many places here, but it's such a huge island that I don't think I'll ever see it all!

Glad you had a great trip, but I'm sorry you're sick! Feel better soon!
