The wrath of Leslie

Post-tropical storm Leslie blew through the Island yesterday.  High winds and heavy rain caused power outages to most of the island, and damages are still being reported.

Thankfully, it was not as bad as Igor two years ago.  (& none of my family or friends were affected badly)

  8. It was quite a day. I took a stroll around the neighbourhood when it was all over and there were a lot of downed trees and fences, and even a few sheds toppled. We're lucky it wasn't worse.

  12. Hey....we were much luckier here in Gambo this time too. With Igor we had major flooding and devastation--threw our entire town in turmoil for months.

It's eerie how this storm was 2 years later almost to the day since Hurricane Igor.
