Excursion around the bay

Its birthday week!  Kiddo and I are three whole days apart... so this past weekend we decided again to forget reality and head around the bay, this time to Ferryland for a lighthouse picnic.  (I believe I've mentioned my mild obsession with lighthouses before :)

Hard to believe she will be 14 on Friday!


The food was great - we had curry mango chicken sandwiches, gingerbread, scones, berry tarts and fresh squeezed lemonade :)




Then headed back to the in-laws summer home for Kiddo's pre-birthday party.  

Another great weekend with family, and no cell reception - what more could I ask for?

    The food here sounds absolutely incredible Bay Girl, really glad to hear that you guys all had such an awesome day, I vaguely remember the lighthouse obsession being mentioned previously which is pretty cool in my opinion!

    my mom and oldest brothers are only 1 day apart in birthdays. They often shared a cake.

    Happy Birthday to both of you! I LOVE the looks of that birthday spread you had. Yum!

    It seems like half the people in my extended family have their birthdays in the same month I do. I wouldn't know what it feels like to have a birthday all to myself because we always combine them. that is fine by me.

    Lovely pics....they sure grow up fast....our "little girl" just turned 29, and is engaged to be married to a fabulous young man----WOW!!!

    The Ferryland Lighthouse Picnic looks amazing---one of the things from my 2012 Bucket List....had reservations last summer, but weather forced cancellation. We plan to try it again in August.
