Your gluteal muscles (also known as your butt muscles) are major muscles when we run. The glutes hold our pelvis level and steady, extend our hip, propel us forward, and keep our legs, pelvis, and torso aligned.
I'm a girl from around the bay. A runner, mother, daughter, sister, wife, an average run of the mill Newfoundlander with an overly active imagination.
I spend my days making mistakes and then trying to fix them before I get caught.
My life is random!
And when you overdo it, they really hurt. But getting a massage there is so awesome, it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteI have got to get back to my daily walks again and get those gluts moving again.
ReplyDeleteMine could sure use some exercise. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI've had a pain in the butt before but it had nothing to do with running.
ReplyDeleteI knew the butt was for more than just looking at or sitting on:)
