Its snowing! Funny thing about Ontario, we have a little dusting of snow and people are in a panic wondering if our exam will be cancelled this afternoon. Seeing as how I haven't used a shovel in my three years here I somehow doubt it.
Oh my! We had snow so deep that we could walk along the tops of telegraph poles! (And that was in SNOVEMBER!) Winter really came early here this year, but like everywhere else, everything grounds to a halt at the first few snowflakes that fall! At least a White Christmas is just about guaranteed! (Not sure if that is a good thing or not though!)
It's funny how it can be "just a dusting" in one area of Ontario....and a major walloping just a short distance away, too. I remember those days too well.
These days, I just laugh here in PA when everyone hits the stores for bread, milk and eggs as soon as a snowfall is forecast.
I'm a girl from around the bay. A runner, mother, daughter, sister, wife, an average run of the mill Newfoundlander with an overly active imagination.
I spend my days making mistakes and then trying to fix them before I get caught.
My life is random!
So close from Quebec yet we're the only one getting the snowstorms! Yesterday was amazing, it was the biggest snowstorm of the year so far!
ReplyDeleteLove the weather panic that sets in when small events happen. We get some rain here and suddenly we are on "Storm Watch 2010!"
ReplyDeleteSome people just panic, don't they?
ReplyDeleteAny snow at all here would cause chaos and anarchy!

It's like hoping for a "no school" day because of a rainstorm. xo
ReplyDeleteHmm we never had that problem at my school in upstate NY. BTW...made you blog of the day.

I find it funny when people rush to the grocery store to stock up on the food because they think every snowfall is a blizzard.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been around in awhile.
Three Years! It's snowing here (in Northern Alberta) right now and you just convinced me to say to hell with it. I'm not shoveling either!
