Fit, Fab & Fuel

Look at me go! 2 days in a row :)  Maybe I'm getting my groove back?!
A little bit ago I spotted the Fit, Fab & Fuel Holiday Swap, and of course I jumped in :)  We send a little package of our fav fuel (anything that keeps us going) to one person and get a little package from another; all random of course AND by doing so we get to meet new people.

I sent a package to Anna at Pipers Run,  and I learned a few things about her
  1. Her blog is called after her nickname (which was Sandpiper, but got shortened to Piper)
  2. She is from Nova Scotia
  3. She's a runner
  4. She has 2 little girls
  5. She's been blogging about 3 years!

I got this package from Janelle at Wholly Healthy

I never heard of Lip Shit before, if i did it would be up there on my list; just so I could ask husband -  "hon, have you seen my Lip Shit?"  Lip Shit! love the name, and it will come in handy during the Hypothermic 1/2 Marathon in Feb! Rudolph is super cute and has already found a home on my tree  :)
And in the process I learned a few things about Janelle too
  1. She is a psycology student:)
  2. She likes to eat clan, exercise regularly and use products as natural as possible
  3. She has a pup :)
  4. She enjoys summer reading
  5. She likes to try new things  (Little Life Box, Paws and Play Box, FitFabFun Box)
Thanks to Running with SD and Naturally Fit Sisters  for hosting this Swap, I had fun, and can't wait to do it again next year.

Did you see how I added that in there?  Hypothermic 1/2 Marathon?  Yep 1/2 marathon #3!  Not bad for less than 2 years of running (go me)

Christmas 1999

Kiddo was nearly 5 months old.  This is her first letter to Santa....

Dear Santa, this is my very first Christmas!  I haven't met you yet, but my mommy and daddy whisper really good things to me about you.  They tell me that if I write you a letter and try my very best to be good, that you will bring me presents.

I heard of this stuff called apple sauce if you could get me some of that, I'm sure I'd like it.  I'd also like a few new bibs and some pretty new dresses.

Please be good to all the other babies in the world, and to my Aunts Tara, Erin, Heather and Simone and my Uncle Stephen.

I hope this works.

Your new friend, Bria

Almost there!

Christmas is right around the corner. Want to know how I can tell?

Our gingerbread house is standing!

The accompanying tree, well he was not so fortunate, you see, the house came pre-assembled while the tree was not. Mr Tree, now resides partially in my tummy. (He was tasty.)

Dear Santa, I think its time you retire

I don`t remember when I debunked the Santa theory, how it happened, or even why. I do remember that for years afterward I continued to play along. (Party for the benefit of my three younger sisters, partly because I could continue to request specific gifts from the big guy.)

With kiddo now being 11, I`m finding that I just couldn't`t be bothered to keep up the facade any longer. Year after year the fat guy gets specially baked cookies and all the credit, while I do all the work. How is that fair exactly?

Now I'm not about to pull a Grinch. I do have a plan! It goes a little something like this...

Dear Kiddo, thank you for taking the time to write me that wonderful letter and for baking me the tasty cookies. Once again, I am glad you did not let your mother bake them or I might have gotten some kind of food poisoning.
This year, I only have one present to leave you because your family has been so amazing and taken care of all the items on your list.
Be good, and have wonderful holiday.
HoHoHo, Santa

Sorry Santa, but your being forced into retirement.
