Knitting is stupid, and I hate its stupid guts.
I'm spending the remainder of my day unknotting something for the fun! I didn't need any new washcloths, anyway.
And no, I am not hiding broken knitting needles behind my back, its something else totally unrelated. (pout)

Gingerbread near fail
Before I begin this tale, I would like to take an opportunity to state that I don't think I have done anything as frustrating. EVER.
I open the box and am immediately hit with the fact that its not a pre-built house. But, I think, how hard can it be, kids make these things at school.
Step 1 mix icing. Ok, that should be pretty simple. Nope! I added the exact amount the stupid instructions called for, it was the consistency of toothpaste. Just like toothpaste it dripped all over the place. This toothpaste did very little for the walls and they kept falling apart. Rather than tossing the whole thing in the garbage, I skipped a bunch of steps and iced the roof pieces. Then decided to take a break.
I guess taking a break is not allowed in gingerbread land, because by the time I went back into the kitchen, that stupid toothpaste icing had turned into cement. {insert a bunch of swearing here}
Husband heard the cursing, saw the mess and kicked me out of the kitchen.
Don't know how he did it, but about 20 minutes later, the house is done and kiddo is smiling!

Moral of the story... if you're making gingerbread house, make sure its pre-built, and don't let me touch it.

A puzzling senerio
I wasn't in the mood to watch television last night so I picked up a puzzle, poured myself a cup of wine and cleared off the dining room table, then I tracked down the hammer and a pair of scissors.

When husband came upstairs to check on me, I was face and eyes into it.

Literally, he has lost track of time and I had fallen asleep. So this morning I plopped back down and finished the sucker off (the puzzle not the wine, that was long gone)

I might have used the hammer once or twice, but I didn't have to use the scissors once!
Notice how the box and the finished puzzle look nothing alike? Who's bright idea was that?!

Crafty me!
Husband and Kiddo think I'm off my rocker! The words are for the most part back in my head. Now I'm just forgetting big things. I stopped into wal-mart for some mulch and dirt, some glass gems for Rosemary and a few odds and ends. We got home and I couldn't find the glass gems, or half of my other purchases... turns out "safety dance" came on the radio while I was in wal-mart, I was so distracted by the tune I started dancing. Kiddo put her head down and hurried out of the store, Husband was carrying 2 bags of mulch, and I danced right out of the store, without my purchases.
After going back to wal-mart and retrieving my bags. I began rummaging through our recycling, and pulling out all the clamshell fruit containers, coffee cans, and even meat trays. Then spent an hour locked in the garage with a can of spray paint. After the containers dried I stabbed holes in their bottoms and began filling them with dirt, only to talk to each little seed as I tucked it in. I was only wishing them luck, and hoping they come out to play soon. (apparently not everyone does that).
We'll just blame it on my ADD.
This is Rosemary. Yesterday she was just a regular scratched up bowling ball. Today she is spectacular!

I'm so crafty! At some point this week I'm going back to the thrift store and searching out some kind of stand for her. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe a candle holder type of thing.
RAOK today: entertaining the staff at wal-mart with my absent minded dancing. Ok today's is lame, but they laughed!
